I know, I know it has been forever since I posted anything. I decided I needed to get better and so i am going to get better! So my little brother got married on Saturday. The few days leading up to the wedding was a very stressful, crazy, fun time. We had 11 people in our apartment staying with us. If that explains anything. I do have to say I am glad everyone is gone but then not. I already miss everybody but I love how quiet it is and that there isn't air mattresses and suit cases everywhere and I can actually walk around my place with out running into something. LOL. Steven's wedding was great! We had a fun day. Majlin was so funny. On the way down to the reception she said that she loves wedding cake and couldn't wait to eat it. Majlin also loved the dancing. She was doing a robot dance and everything. I have video of it on my video camera and I wish i new how to put it on here because it was so funny! My kids got tired of taking pictures! Everytime someone wanted to take a picture they didn't want anything to do with it. Majlin just wanted to dance and eat, (chocolate fountain) and Erik was just being typical 2 year old boy!

I know your probably getting tired of my craft post but I like to show of what I have made. I think my Ho Ho blocks came out great!

We made this sign for Deven's parents and then one for us. Its a Disney saying. We love Disneyland and so does Deven's parents. If you look closely there is a Mickey on the dot on the eye. Majlin had to of course be in the picture.

Santa Claus

The kids where so excited to see Santa Claus. It took us forever to go see him but we at last go there. Erik was not afraid at all. He kept saying "ho ho" and both kids where waiting patiently in line :) For some odd reason Santa Claus kept on looking away from the camera. He kept looking to the side.

So here is our Gingerbread house that we made. All Erik wanted to do was Eat the Gingerbread pieces. He actually got a bite of one of the gingerbread pieces so our house had a big bite out of it. Majlin was a big help this year. She loved doing it.

Craft Projects

So my favorite pass time is to do crafts. I love my Cricut so much! There is this great wood store up in Salt Lake where you buy the wood and then you finish the projects yourself. I would of never been able to do any of these without my Cricut.

This is a coat rack. Deven was tired of our jackets hanging around and so he was like when you go to the wood store see if there is anything to make a coat rack with. They actually had something! So this is the final project. I love it. The saying took us forever to come up with, and we are very happy with it.

I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving.

We had a good Thanksgiving. We went over to Deven's parents house Thanksgiving night and had a wonderful meal. The rest of the day we just hung out. It was a very quiet day and didn't seem like Thanksgiving. Where does the time go? It also was a reality shock to us because it might be our last Thanksgiving here before we move. If all goes well, we will be having Thanksgiving next year in Missouri and be with my family. Since Deven and me have been married, 7 years, we haven't had a Thanksgiving with my parents and so I can't wait for next year. Deven, can never get off work during the Holiday season because he works at Costco and during the holidays they don't allow anybody to take off work, especially supervisors. So it will be nice when Deven has a job where he can take time off during the holidays. I'm so thankful for my family and for everything Deven does for our family. I'm thankful that Deven is almost done with SCHOOL! I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving.

Erik's turns 2!

On November 2, Erik turned 2. It was great besides that we all where sick. Early that morning Erik woke up throwing up and then on top of that we all have colds. I was suppose to make Erik a dinosaur cake but because I was so sick that didn't happen. Had to go order a cake the day before. There also wasn't a lot of people there because everyone didn't want to come over with everyone being sick. Thats ok because we still had fun. Erik really didn't know what to think at first because he had seen sister open present after present the week before. When he realized they where for him, he was in Heaven. One of the presents he got was a "Cars Backpack" and i think that was his favorite present. He has been carrying sisters old backpack around forever and so we decided to get him a backpack and his expression when he opened it and saw what it was, was priceless. He also got an umbrella which he loves, no longer stealing sisters. He also got way excited for a Elmo Birthday card. Overall he had a great Birthday and got lots of BOY TOYS, which he loves. Can't wait for Christmas

My mom was in town for a couple weeks and she was able to attend all the fun Halloween activities. She also helped us carve pumkins. She is now gone and it was sad to see her go. We had lots of fun with her.

Majlin turned 5 on Halloween but we celebrated it 3 times. The first one was her Birthday party at Jumpin Jacks with her friends. The second one was with family and then the 3rd one was actually on her Birthday. We really don't do much on her Birthday because its Halloween and we are super busy on that day. We basically sing to her and have her blow out a candle and then give her one present. I can't believe that she is 5. Where does the time go. She no longer is my baby.

The day after Brandee's Birthday we went to Gardner Village. Brandee and the kids love it, Deven not so much. Its a girl place. Gardner Village has a whole bunch of cute shops and has a petting zoo for the kids and pony rides.

Erik was a little afraid of the animals. He loves animals but has never been this close to them. He kept on going up to them, from a distance and saying "hi". It was so cute. Eventually he started to pet them.

On my Brandee's Birthday we went to Park City and did some shopping at the Outlets there and then went and rode the Alpine Slide and Alpine Rollercoaster. If you ever go to Park City I Highly Recommend it. Erik wasn't able to do the Alpine Rollercoaster but was able to do the Alpine slide and he loved it.

I just wanted everyone to know how much I love my husband and how wonderful he is. Tomorrow is my Birthday and today he surprised me with a Cricut! If you don't know what a cricut is go to www.cricut.com Its a great craft/scrapbooking/making cards machine. I wanted it to make crafts with. I have been way into making crafts latley. The thing is I didn't deserve anything for my Birthday because I already got something. I got a great new flat iron that was way expensive about a month ago and when I got it I told Deven that could be my Birthday present. Then I saw the Cricut and learned more about it and really wanted one. Deven said no because my flat iron was too much and that was my present and I had told him that was my present. Just to explain my flat iron was $140 dollars and that was with my sister in laws discount because she is a stylist. I know that seems a lot but its super nice and they where having a special deal where it would have a 4 year warranity on it. That sold me right there because I have had problems with my other not to cheap flat irons.
So I kept bugging Deven about the Cricut and then my mother in law called him and asked him to go in on a Birthday present. Deven was with me at the time so he said he would think about it. I was thinking about it and new that my mother in law new how bad I wanted a Cricut and knew thats the present they where discussing. So I told Deven that I new thats what it was and he kept saying no because of my flat iron. So at last I decided he was right and I would just have to wait for Christmas. Needless to say he totally surprised me a day early with it and I was shocked. I went to take Majlin to school and I go to get in my vechicle and there it was. It was so funny because I was way excited and Majlin all the sudden was "Good Job Daddy"! It was hillarious. I'm still in shock that I got it and can't believe it. Deven does so much for our family. He goes to school full time and works full time. We barley see him since he's in school again and he's the one that should be getting double presents. I just wanted to let him know how thankful for everything he does for us and our family. He spoils me and the children and loves us so much and we love him so much. He didn't have to get me anything but he did. I love you Deven! Also I can't leave out my wonderful In-laws who suggested it to him. Thanks for the present. Love you guys!

Majlin got her Soccer pictures taken last week and we where so worried they wouldn't turn out because she has a tendency to look away from the camera when you take pictures or look in a different direction and she tries to do this funky fake smile. Needless to say she looked at the camera and she is smiling so pretty. I think they came out great. We couldn't be more pleased with the picture.

Needless to say in the group picture she is not looking at the camera. I guess you can't have everything. It was so funny when the photographer was trying to take this picture. One of the boys kept on holding himself, he had to go pee and everytime they told him to stop holding himself he would but then he would go right back to it again. The poor camera man. Trying to get that boy from holding himself and all the kids to look is a miracle so you can't complain to much about the picture. Kids just don't like to hold still :)

Majlin's and Erik's cousin Bristol and "Aunt Teri" asked us if we would like to go to Jumkin Jacks with them. We have never been and so we where way excited to go. We had so much fun.

Having Problems putting in pictures

The Springville Bears

This is the rookie season for Majlin on the Springville Bears.

A s you can see she has opening day nerves.
Within seconds of the game beginning the tears began to fall as a little boy from the other team ran into her. From their things got worse before they got better.
When the ball was taken away from her, it might as well have been Erik taking the ball away from her. Frustration also set in with not being able to get the ball away from the other team.
Tearful cries of "I don't like this game," followed soon after.
The second half things did get a little better. Majlin and her best friend/Stylist got to be in the game at the same time, and Majlin began to enjoy the game a little more.
Boy is it tough to be a rookie.

What's up with your music?

I'm sure some of you are wondering, "What's up with your music selections".

When Majlin was only 3 days old, Deven was in the car with Majlin and she began to cry. Deven turned on the CD that was in the car, Eric Clapton's "One more car, One more rider", He turned it to Eric's version of Somewhere over the Rainbow. Majlin almost instantly began to calm down. It has been her favorite song ever since.

Next, about two years ago we put Majlin in a Big Girl Bed. She had a hard time so one Night Deven began to sing her Rainbow connection. So now everynight before Majin goes to sleep she makes her Daddy sing "Rainbow Songs".

Brandee's Favorite group is Depeche Mode, and Devens is anything Clapton.

Rubber Duckie is just a fun song both Majlin and Erik enjoy.

Hopefully that sheds some light on the subject.

I decided to take the baby bunny to my In-Laws house to let them see it before we took it to the rescue shelter.
Erik wanted to hold it so bad but he was being a little rough and so he only got to look at it and touch it.

Baby Rabbit

About 3 weeks ago I saw a stray cat in the backyard that comes and visits us often and is very friendly. We decided to go out and say hi. We went out and he was by some shrubs in our yard. You could tell he was trying to protect something. He is a great hunter and always brings in animals in our yard that he has caught. So i was about to grab a stick to see what it was and i heard something squeaking so i started poking around the shrubs and it looked like there was a nest built in the shrubs and then all the sudden i see this thing that looks like a mouse and i was freaked and then i noticed that it had long ears and realized it was a bunny. You see we have had this rabbit in our yard right by the shrubs and it was so hard to get out of the yard. I didn't want the rabbit in our yard because we have zuccini plants growing and didn't want the rabbit to eat them. So all this time the rabbit was building a nest. There was only one baby rabbit and so i picked it up and saved it from the cat. Needless to say the kids LOVED it! They where so excited. Majlin wanted to keep it but i new if we kept it it would die. It probably was only a couple days old. So i found somebody who rescues wild animals and she said she would take it. So before we took it to the lady we took some pictures. Majlin wasn't very happy that we didn't get to keep it. I don't know if the rabbit survived or not but at least i saved it from the cat. It was to darn cute to let the cat eat. Needless to say i'm pretty positive that the cat had its brothers and sisters for breakfast because Deven saw the cat there earlier in the morning.

Majlins "First Haircut"

This is Majlins "First Haircut". It is definitly not her fist, but it is her first one she has ever done herself.

Majlin and her "styling partner" Grace were at her house playing. They were cutting out paper dolls. They decided to cut each others hair with the crafting scissors they were using.

When Graces Mom dropped Majlin off was the first time anyone noticed that the two had given themselves haircuts.

The ironey is that Brandee over the weekend was telling everyone how Majlin had never gotten into scissors and never cut her own hair.
